Since 2006 she has been dedicated to caring for people, training health professionals, and collaborating in health research as a coordinator for clinical trials, in addition to her facet as an entrepreneur.
She is Mar, the first person of the team that you will see when entering our center. She has 20 years of experience in the administration and secretarial sector.
She is in charge of welcoming the patient, processing authorizations, delivering reports, scheduling visits, among other functions.
Esther, is our receptionist, she is the person who will receive you at the reception of the center.
She also performs the tasks of administration, billing and authorization management. She has years of experience in customer service, team management, administration, billing and sales.
She can advise you on the diagnostic tests indicated by the doctor or about the smoking cessation program, made up of a multidisciplinary team of professionals (psychologist, nutritionist and respiratory physiotherapist).
In addition, she also performs community manager functions, managing social networks and disseminating services.
She has experience in the field and training in graphic design at EASD Escuela Superior de Diseño y Arte “Llotja”.
Mar is the respiratory physiotherapist who will help you improve your breathing.
Treats patients with difficulty expectorating, helps in the drainage of secretions, post-COVID pulmonary rehabilitation, application of the buteyko method, among others.
She acts as a complement to the pulmonologist and improves the effectiveness of the treatment, reducing the need and quantity of medication that the patient must take.
Mireia Lugar is the psychologist and nutritionist who collaborates with Clínica Respira.
My history with nutrition began as if by chance, a little unintentionally, since from a very young age I dreamed of being a biologist, I loved studying everything that was related to the human body and nature. Little by little, I began to realize that perhaps it was not what I was looking for, so in the end, thanks partly to fate and partly to the wise advice of my father, I opted for an option that was quite new in the field of health: dietetics and human nutrition.
Today I can proudly say that I was not wrong in my choice because I am passionate about being a Nutritionist and being able to help my patients. What I like the most is the fight with them, the work we do side by side to be able to change their habits and of course, see their faces of enthusiasm and satisfaction when they reach the finish line and savor their achieved goals.
The relationship and treatment with patients throughout my first years of profession, made me see that food is intimately related to the mind and emotions, becoming in many cases a key piece to achieve the therapeutic objectives of the treatment. and keep them long-term. That’s why I jumped into the pool and decided to become a psychologist.
Currently I like to work both as a Dietitian – Nutritionist and as a Psychologist, addressing, in a special way, those cases in which a psychological and nutritional approach is required, such as stress and anxiety related to food, TCA, psycho-emotional re-education related to food, conscious eating, etc.
But what I like the most, without a doubt, is helping my patients to believe in themselves, offering them a space where they feel listened to and accompanied, since I believe that it is one of the pillars to achieve any goal they set for themselves.
Lidia Mateos, is the clinical nutritionist who collaborates with Clínica Respira.
My beginnings in nutrition originate in the high school years. There, I took a subject on nutrition that sparked my interest in the subject and, finally, I ended up being a dietitian-nutritionist and food technologist. What most caught my attention when I started my professional career is that small changes in diet can translate into big changes in health and the body, who said “we are what we eat” was completely right. What I like most about being a dietitian-nutritionist is being able to accompany my patients to achieve their goal.
Professionally, I have been lucky enough to work in different fields of nutrition, which have allowed me to have a very broad vision of the subject: hospital nutrition, private practice, collective restoration and the food industry. Given my training and professional experience, I have specialized more in weight loss diets, clinical nutrition (especially digestive) and vegetarian diets, although I am constantly taking training courses to keep up to date.
